About me
As the founder of Gazzetta, a venture based in Tallinn and New York, I focus on supporting media and technology companies committed to internet freedom. My work leverages extensive experience in newsroom leadership, editorial strategy, audience research, product development, and digital security for global media organizations operating in challenging environments.
Previously, I led Radio Free Europe's digital transformation, overseeing product, audience, and marketing teams. I also established an Innovation Lab dedicated to censorship circumvention and remote reporting technologies, as well as the RFE/RL Academy for journalism training.
My career includes roles as The New York Times' first digital editor in Asia and editorial positions at various publications across Asia and Europe. I co-founded the Environmental Reporting Collective to foster global journalistic collaborations and taught reporting at the University of Hong Kong for five years.
Throughout my career, I've been dedicated to advancing journalism, digital innovation, and press freedom in diverse global contexts. My current work with Gazzetta aims to continue this mission by supporting organizations at the intersection of media, technology, and internet freedom.
