About me
Franziska Ritter (she/her) is a freelance journalist and lives near Berlin, Germany. She studied Journalism at Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts. Back then, she was greeted with the words that her life expectancy would decrease significantly with her career choice. That didn't stop her from becoming a journalist.
After finishing her studies and working for film and television she completed a 13-month traineeship for business and consumer journalists. At that time, she realized that journalism tends to focus on problems rather than solutions.
Since 2010, Franziska works as a radio reporter for public broadcasters in Germany. She prefers to report on ideas and initiatives that break new ground - whether to protect the climate or promote social interaction.
Mental health is very important to Franziska. To cope with the challenges of her job, she practices Qigong and meditation on a daily basis. She also teaches other people how to stay present and connected in a fast-paced world.
