About me
John Crowley is an editor, trainer, and consultant with 25 years of journalistic experience, including roles at The Daily Telegraph, The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, the Financial Times and The Irish Post. He currently writes for and edits the FT’s Banking, Risk and Regulation and often provides commentary on BBC News.
John has a strong background in digital innovation and audience insights. As a consultant, he has advised on the evolving digital media landscape and PR strategies. He has recently been involved with the Media Development Investment Fund’s PRIMED initiative, supporting the Ethiopian digital platform Ethiopia Insider.
In 2020, he co-published the report 'Journalism in the Time of Covid' and has since trained journalists in the US and UK around the topic of mental health in newsrooms. He is also a trustee of the Journalists’ Charity, a co-founder of the Society of Freelance Journalists.
