About me
Emma Thomasson is a British journalist, consultant and facilitator based in Berlin. She is an expert in empathetic leadership, strategy and communication, as well as European politics, business, technology and economics. She is also a leadership coach and an advocate for better workplace mental health. She previously worked for Reuters as a correspondent and bureau chief in Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, South Africa and the UK, where she led teams, organised and edited news coverage, and executed business projects. She also ran a global mentoring programme to promote leadership diversity, and coordinated a peer network to support journalists suffering from stress and trauma. She is a board member for the Dart Centre for Journalism and Trauma in Europe and also supports a Helpline for journalists in Germany.
