About me
Diana Adams is the founder of the boutique LGBTQIA+ family law and mediation firm Diana Adams Law & Mediation, PLLC and Executive Director of legal services & advocacy nonprofit Chosen Family Law Center, Inc., both based in New York City. Diana practices family law by providing support for positive beginnings and endings of all types of family relationships. Diana is a TED Speaker, an Ashoka Fellow, and an international thought leader on LGBTQIA+ issues. They are a popular Keynote Speaker on LGBTQIA+ legal issues and the future of family structure including non-nuclear families and non-monogamous partnership. Diana is a leader in teaching trauma-informed lawyering to lawyers in the US, and has worked supporting survivors of intimate partner violence for twenty years, and now supervises a program at Chosen Family Law Center providing immigration support for LGBTQIA+ victims of torture and persecution. Diana finds trauma-informed lawyering skills essential for compassionate service for these clients and for compassionate care for nonprofit and law office staff.
