About me
I’ve started my career as a journalist over 20 years ago covering the news of judicial sector. After the first decade in the media, I joined a health magazine as editor-in-chief and the next year I was involved in the civil society sector with health issues, one of the most corrupted sectors in my country. Gender, health and media have been always in my focus. While working as a human rights’ watchdog, I’ve been in charge of several research projects and also, I’m the author and co-author of several studies and reports on gender, health and media, published in the recent years. While supporting the new journalists as an editor and working in health sector, I understood the connection between mental health and the performance of journalists to bring good stories, which brought me to follow the Master studies on Health Management with Human Resources Management as a main focus. Now, working as a policy manager at my organization, one of my main responsibilities is to assure that our policies, regulations and behaviors contribute to a safe and healthy environment for our internal and external staff as there is no good story without good mental health.
