About me
Amélie Reichmuth is a multilingual journalist and media advocate who believes that journalism has the power – and the responsibility – to bring the world closer, one story at a time.
In 2019, as a 25 years old, she was diagnosed with depression & anxiety, which forced her to pause her beginning career within journalism. Ever since, she became a mental health activist who uses her own experience to set well-being on the agenda – Both at work, and outside. Ultimately, her goal is to foster a more caring society, where people thrive – Instead of merely surviving.
When she is not working on making the media industry fit for the future, she produces multimedia content in five languages to empower and create positive change. In 2023, her work was even rewarded with the “European Prize of the Young Reporter”, by the French NGO Reporters d’Espoirs.
