About me
Chelsea Reynolds, Ph.D. (Minnesota, '17; Mizzou, '12) is the inaugural Director of the Center for Culture & Inclusion in Media at the ASU California Center. She is also an associate professor in the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism & Mass Communication.
Dr. Reynolds's research focuses on media representations of LGBTQ+ populations, online censorship of sexual communication, and workplace wellbeing in media professions. Her research has been published in top journals including Journal of Sex Research; Communication, Culture & Critique; and Journalism & Mass Communication Educator, among others. She is also a recognized leader in campus mental health.
Prior to academia, Dr. Reynolds worked in numerous roles in the magazine industry at publications such as Men's Health and Better Homes & Gardens. She is the Vice-Head of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) Publications Committee and past-Head of the AEJMC LGBTQ Interest Group.
