How to Bring Creativity into Your Day-to-Day Journalism Job

Whether you’re working in a newsroom as a reporter or managing a team in a cross-border investigation, creativity and art can enhance your work and flow into every aspect of your daily job, even in unexpected ways. In this workshop, we’ll explore various techniques to infuse more creativity into our daily tasks. We’ll cover key aspects of The Artist's Way, including how to use morning pages, dates with the artist, and meditative walks to bring creativity into our lives. We’ll also practice timed writing exercises inspired by Natalie Goldberg’s technique of writing from “first thoughts” (keep your hand moving, don’t cross out, just get it on paper).
